Upland conservation grazing at Llyndy Isaf

Llyndy Isaf

Guided tour of Llyndy Isaf National Trust farm

Saturday 9 July

Places are still available on this special guided tour of the stunning Llyndy Isaf farm with Sabine Nouvet from the National Trust, and Hilary Kehoe and Jan Sherry from Pori Natur a Threftadaeth (PONT). They will discuss the use of grazing to manage a biodiversity-rich upland environment at this National Trust farm in  Nant Gwynant.

PONT is a Welsh grazing animals project which promotes and facilitates the use of grazing for wildlife conservation, landscape enhancement and to support rural cultural traditions.

Sabine Nouvet is the National Trust Conservation ranger for Eryri and Llŷn and has been instrumental in developing grazing management on NT land in the National Park. Sabine gave a superb talk about her work, at the 2015 Snowdonia Society AGM.

Terrain – rough terrain and steep in places; distance – 5-6 miles
