Green travel: Electric Bike Ride

A big thank you to Beics Ogwen, Bethesda who facilitated our recent electric bike day along Dyffryn Ffrancon. We travelled along the upper part of Lôn Las Ogwen cycle track, from Bethesda to the end of Dyffryn Ffrancon, then walked around Cwm Idwal.

After finding our feet (or pedals) outside the Canolfan Cefnfaes building, playing with the e-bike power settings, and discovering the joy of maximum boost, which allows you to effortlessly fly up the hills, we were ready to take on the journey. One participant hadn’t been on a bike for over three decades, and thanks to the accessibility that the e-bikes provide they were able to take on one of Wales’s most beautiful cycle routes, with all its twists, turns and uphills in their stride…or should I say pedals!

A massive thank you to Beics Ogwen and Canolfan Cefnfaes for their brilliant e-bike rental, knowledge and support that made this day possible!

With thanks to the National Grid’s Community Grant Fund Programme.
