Come and play a part in planting native deciduous trees at a mainly coniferous woodland. It’s always good to plant trees as they provide a habitat for many species, for many decades if not longer, as well as benefit the land (better drainage and soil stabilisation). Areas of mainly coniferous trees often have a limited variety of species that they can support. Natural Resources Wales, who own the site, are keen to develop a more varied and healthy woodland that will be for the community to enjoy.

Cwm Hafodyredwydd, between Penmachno and Blaenau Ffestiniog, is in a beautiful part of the country. Whether you have planted trees before or not, I’m sure that you will be confident ‘old hands’ by the end of the day!
