Volunteer: Woodland Management, Lichen Protection

Here in Wales, we have our very own rainforest, and just like tropical rainforests it desperately needs help.

Come join us and the Celtic Rainforest Project in protecting the rare lichen species that thrive in the Atlantic rainforest of Maentwrog!

The Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf Stream create the perfect conditions to produce this amazing habitat.  Celtic rainforests are both rare and incredibly biodiverse, supporting a wealth of scarce plants, fungi and lichens.

This event will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Celtic rainforests, unique Lichens, and to get stuck in with practical conservation to protect them.

Advance booking essential:

Please book using our volunteer software My Impact.  The first time you use our new system, My Impact, you will create an account. Once registered and approved by an administrator, you will be able to book yourself on volunteer days, without having to wait for a response from an administrator. We hope that this will make the booking system easier for you as volunteers.
