Learn the traditional art of hedge laying with a professional hedge layer!

Hedge laying is an important practice in maintaining the quality of hedges; well-maintained hedges provide nesting sites for birds, shelter for livestock, and act as corridors between habitat patches. This volunteer day is a great opportunity to learn a heritage skill and to get stuck into some practical work.

Advance booking essential:

Please book using our volunteer software My Impact.  The first time you use our new system, My Impact, you will create an account. Once registered and approved by an administrator, you will be able to book yourself on volunteer days, without having to wait for a response from an administrator. We hope that this will make the booking system easier for you as volunteers.
