Volunteer: Pitching – footpath building

Llan Ffestiniog, 10:00 – 15:00

The Snowdonia society will be making improvements to a section of the Snowdonia slate trail near Llan Ffestiniog, and we’d greatly appreciate your help!

We’ll be improving a section of path by laying down and interlocking large stones – a process called pitching. The land on this site is very wet, so pitching this section of path will help reduce erosion and make walking the route a more enjoyable experience.

This volunteer day is part of our ‘Lines in the Landscape’ series.

Please book using our volunteer software My Impact.  The first time you use our new system, My Impact, you will create an account. Once registered and approved by an administrator, you will be able to book yourself on volunteer days, without having to wait for a response from an administrator. We hope that this will make the booking system easier for you as volunteers.
