Volunteer: Conifer Clearance

Curlew

Curlews are in urgent need of conservation, with their UK numbers almost halving in the last two decades. Ysbyty Ifan is one of the last breeding grounds in Wales. Nest predation is a major threat. Predators like tress to perch on or burrow under. Removing conifers near their moorland nest sites will boost chick survival, helping to give this species a fighting chance at a future!
