Members’ Social event, Capel Curig

An opportunity to meet Trustees and other Snowdonia Society members and look at some of Snowdonia Society’s volunteer work, past and present.

Due to the volunteer theme for this event, Snowdonia Society volunteers are also warmly invited to attend.

A morning walk will be followed by a tasty lunch hosted by Bryn Tyrch Inn, and a talk by Owain Thomas about our current volunteer work.

10am: ‘A Circumnavigation of Capel Curig’, an easy walk via viewpoints (Siabod, the Horsehoe and Pinnacles) and highlights from the Snowdonia Society’s work in this area. On footpaths and forest tracks, with some short ascents (approx 8km/5m)
1pm: Return for your pre-ordered lunch at the Bryn Tyrch Inn, a Snowdonia Society Business Member.
2.15pm: ‘A volunteer’s year in photographs’, an illustrated talk by Owain Thomas, our Volunteer Coordinator and keen amateur photographer.
3.30pm: finish

But donations are invited. All donations will go towards the Snowdonia Society’s work of protecting and enhancing Snowdonia’s beauty and special qualities.
