Caru Eryri: Volunteer Leaders’ training day

Caru Eryri: Volunteer Leaders’ training day

Llanberis 10:00 – 16:00

Are you interested in being a Caru Eryri Volunteer Leader?

Since the Caru Eryri scheme started, we have continuously looked at ways to develop the programme. One big development from last year was the introduction of Volunteer Leaders.
If you are interested in being a volunteer leader, sign up for this Caru Eryri Leader Training Day where we will be joined by Mike Raine.
The training will be practical, relevant, informative, fun, and will hopefully leave you feeling fully prepared and supported to go out and lead groups of volunteers yourself!

What do you need to be eligible?

• Must hold current Outdoor 1st Aid qualification
• Must attend a Volunteer Leader Training Day
• Have attended a minimum of 5 shifts as a Caru Eryri volunteer since 2021
Or
• Hold a current and valid MT qualification (Lowland Leader/Hill and Moorland Leader/Mountain Leader-Summer)

The day will cover all the information you will need about shifts, signing up, routes, risk assessments, paperwork, kit etc, plus an outdoor session where we will practise skills and scenarios which could occur on a leading day.

Sign up now, or email jen@snowdonia-society.org.uk if you have any questions.
