Accredited training – Invasive species control *fully booked*

Accredited training – Invasive species control

Bethesda Rugby Club 09:30 – 16:00

Come and equip yourself with the tools required on how to plan for invasive species control while gaining accredited training in the process.

There will be a particular focus throughout the unit on the invasive plant Himalayan balsam which is a widespread problem and a focus of the Carneddau Landscape Partnership scheme.

The unit will cover aspects such as-

  • The issues caused by invasive species and how invasive species become established in the first place.
  • How to prepare and carry out community clearance activities to remove invasive species.

and

  • How to report back on management carried out.

This will be an engaging, interactive day with an opportunity to network with likeminded people.

This unit is suitable for those with prior knowledge of Himalayan balsam or those new to the subject. The day will have a mixture of classroom and outdoor learning.
