A Carneddau classic – the Cwm Eigiau horseshoe

FULLY BOOKED A long walk involving a couple of short rock scrambles and rough, boggy terrain. A good level of fitness and previous experience of mountain walking are required.

Route: Traversing the summits of Pen Llithrig y Wrach and Pen yr Helgi Du to reach Carnedd Llewelyn, only 20m lower than Snowdon and a magnificent viewpoint. No dogs, please.
