We are delighted to welcome our new Director to the team.
He brings with him a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and a strong passion for the organisation and its future. We’re very excited to have him on board and look forward to working together in the years ahead.
Graeme joined Cymdeithas Eryri in May 2026, having previously worked as Fundraising Director and Head of Strategy & Operations for North Wales Wildlife Trust. He has extensive leadership and management experience within the community-centred environmental sector and, more importantly, cares deeply about the local area that he and his young family call home.
As Director, Graeme has overall executive responsibility for delivering Cymdeithas Eryri’s vision for a nature-rich Eryri for all, including positioning the Society as a dynamic, active and influential key partner in the conservation of Wales’s largest National Park. He relies, however, on the good will and hard work of an established team of staff and volunteers – and, of course, Cymdeithas Eryri members and supporters – and is very grateful to each of them!
Born and raised in south Wales, Graeme moved north to study at Bangor University in 2003 and has never (well, rarely) returned. With a PhD in music, specialising in the life and works of Welsh composer Grace Williams, he can still occasionally be found singing in, accompanying for or waving his arms in front of local choirs. When not doing so, he enjoys amateur botanising and walking in Eryri and the Clwydian Range and is a trustee of his local church: ‘Gwreiddiau’, in Denbigh.
