The Snowdonia Society has been nominated by Waitrose ‘Community Matters’ as one of the three local good causes to benefit from a share of their £1,000 donation in July.

If you shop at Waitrose in Menai Bridge, please choose the Snowdonia Society for your green tokens! In 2013, the Snowdonia Society received a donation of £315 under this scheme.

There are several such schemes run by supermarkets and corner shops and you can nominate the cause of your choice to benefit. So, please if you care about Snowdonia, please nominate the Snowdonia Society.

5p plastic carrier bag levy

All local shops and supermarkets choose a cause to receive the proceeds from the Plastic Carrier Bag Levy, and will change the cause from time to time.

In 2013, Spar donated just under £780 to the Snowdonia Society under this scheme. Please talk to your local shops and ask how you can nominate us.

Nationwide ‘Big Local’

Why not nomimate Snowdonia Society to you local Nationwide Building Society’s charitable giving initiatives:

  •  Big Local this enables customers to vote online for a different regional charity each month (as nominated by you) to win a £5,000 donation.
  • Community Match – this enables customers to vote for one of three local causes (as nominated by you) in branch to win a £500 donation.
