Thinking outside the (gingerbread) box

Thinking outside the (gingerbread) box

We have teamed up with local business Sweet Snowdonia to produce a box of artisan gingerbread inspired by the local landscape to raise money for our work protecting Snowdonia.

The box of exquisitely hand-decorated gingerbread contains edible trees, stars, snowflakes and hearts to symbolise the Snowdonia Society’s dedication to protecting the special qualities of Snowdonia.

Sweet Snowdonia creator and Society member Caroline Somary said: “I approached the Society with the aim of helping to raise awareness of their fantastic work and to encourage more people to support the cause. For every box sold £1 will go to the Society, which though it sounds small, will hopefully help spread the word about this important local charity”

Snowdonia Society Engagement Officer Claire Holmes said: “We’re really excited about this project, and grateful for the chance meeting with Caroline at the Conwy Honey Fair a year ago. We hope more creatively-minded people will follow suit and support our work in Snowdonia with original fundraising ideas.”

Each box contains approximately 25 pieces* and costs £10.75, with £1 donation to the Society for every box sold. They make the perfect Christmas gift and can be ordered through the Sweet Snowdonia website here: www.sweetsnowdonia.com
