Rob’s main job is running Gwesty Plas Coch in Llanberis with his wife Fiona. Plas Coch was the first business in the area to achieve the Gold Level Plastic Free Yr Wyddfa award. Contributing to wildlife and cultural conservation in Eryri is part of their business plan and working with Cymdeithas Eryri is the most effective way of putting that plan in action so Rob loves to join a volunteer party on a rare day off!
Rob also works with adults with learning disabilities as a support worker and (as a qualified Mountain Leader) occasionally gets to help visitors explore more of the amazing Eryri area that he loves so much. Rob used to be a headteacher and a specialist in the education of under 5s but as a Welsh learner the tables have turned!
The Snowdonia Society, established in 1967, is a member-based registered charity working to protect and enhance the beauty and special qualities of Eryri and to promote their enjoyment in the interests of all who live in, work in or visit the area both now and in the future.
