Snowdonia Society pays tribute to much-loved Linda Williams

Linda Williams, manager of the Pot Mêl tearoom at Tŷ Hyll, passed away on 19th May aged 61. She was the treasured wife of Andrew, loving mother of four daughters and grandmother of four.

Linda had managed the Tŷ Hyll tearoom since its establishment six years ago, and was well known by all for her endless enthusiasm, generosity and smiles. Her husband, Andy, said:

“Out of all the jobs Linda had done in her life, she enjoyed her time at the Ugly House the most. She loved the house and garden and really put her stamp on the place. For Linda, going to work there was never a chore.”

Staff and trustees of the Snowdonia Society attended Linda’s funeral last week and were moved to discover that she had asked for donations from the service to go to support the Snowdonia Society’s work.

Linda was a cherished member of the local community and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
