Snowdonia Giving raises £3,250 for Snowdonia’s future!

In just six months Snowdonia Giving has raised over £3,250!

This first funding from this pilot scheme is being donated to the Snowdonia Society to support our practical work with young people.  Thanks to the generosity of everyone who has donated to the Snowdonia Giving scheme and the local businesses who have made it possible, the Snowdonia Society can invest in the future.

Snowdonia Society volunteers work hard to maintain Snowdon’s footpaths, clear rhododendron and pick up litter.  Those same volunteers will now have the opportunity to complete a Practical Conservation Skills unit, accredited by Agored Cymru.  “Young people applying for jobs need all the help they can get, and this certificate will allow our volunteers to show future employers the practical skills and knowledge they have gained” said Mary-Kate Jones, Project Manager for the Snowdonia Society.  “We are so grateful to everyone involved in Snowdonia Giving, this donation really will make a difference!”

A big thank you to all these fantastic businesses who have signed up to the Snowdonia Giving scheme so far.  To find out more about Snowdonia Giving, how your business can get involved or how you can donate check out the website here.
