Seed sales in support of the Snowdonia Society!

Earlier this week the Snowdonia Society took a catalogue of hand-picked seeds from the wildflower garden at Tŷ Hyll to the annual Seed Fair in Conwy town centre.

Some 31 different varieties of wild flower seeds were sold – including Welsh poppy Meconopsis cambrica, angel’s fishing rod Dierama pulcherrimum and bluebell Hyacinthoides non-scripta – and £114 was raised towards the Snowdonia Society’s conservation work across the National Park.

A special thanks goes to our trustee Margaret Thomas, who gathers, processes and labels the seeds by hand from the garden at Tŷ Hyll (the ugly house).
