Our 2018 Annual General Meeting

Our 2018 Annual General Meeting

Dozens of members, trustees and staff of the Snowdonia Society gathered together last Saturday for our 2018 Annual General Meeting at Coed y Brenin forest park, Dolgellau.

Held in the wood-clad Cader Idris conference room with impressive views of the surrounding landscape, 51 delegates had the chance to reflect on the Society’s achievements of the last year and to make suggestions on how we move forward as an organisation.

The much-anticipated Trustees’ Question Time (pictured left) gave members the opportunity to find out more about the role of trustees and bring up questions outside of the formal business of the AGM.

After lunch, guest speaker Mary Colwell introduced her national campaign to save the curlew. She referenced poetry on the mysterious beauty of the bird, along with chilling statistics about its demise if nothing is done.

The Snowdonia Society would like to thank all that made it along last Saturday, with a special thanks to Mary for her talk. We have already begun planning some curlew events in support of Mary’s campaign for next spring, so keep an eye on our 2019 events programme.
