Our volunteers worked so hard through the month of May – completing well over 400 hours of work! Students from Capel Manor College joined us for 3 days and worked nearly 300 hours to protect our special National Park! During May, volunteers:
- Cleared Rhododendron
- Worked on Snowdonia’s footpaths
- Managed woodlands
- Surveyed for birds and otters
- Gardened for wildlife
As well as their practical work, they also enjoyed a guided walk through the woods with an ecologist and learned how to identify native trees on our Native Tree ID training event. May was a packed month and a huge thank you goes out to all our partners and volunteers for their fantastic work!
Snowdonia still needs your help – If you’re keen to get involved why not join us in the sunshine for some of our summer workdays and events?
