Join Mike Raine, author of Nature of Snowdonia and The Mountain Leader – a practical manual for a walk along seemingly imaginary liens from the Crimea Pass.
We’ll follow some lines that are easy to see on the ground, but less so on the map and some lines that are obvious on the map but not so on the ground. Features will include old tracks, quarry tracks, the national park boundary, a railway tunnel, break of slopes, streams, a county boundary, a parish boundary, walls and fences.
We’ll be leaving footpaths behind for some of this workshop so do expect rough, potentially wet, terrain under foot.
Fitness level – Fairly strenuous
With thanks to the National Grid’s Community Grant Fund Programme.
