Volunteer Week 2018!

Monday 4th – Friday 8th June, across Snowdonia

A cracking week of diverse conservation activities in Snowdonia to suit everyone and complete our Practical Conservation Skills unit accredited by Agored Cymru –  a fabulous opportunity to demonstrate your skills to potential employers.

Monday 4th June: Woodworking day in partnership with the Woodland Trust.  Learn how to prepare waymarkers and make split timber gates!

Tuesday 5th June: Footpath maintenance in partnership with the National Trust.  Learn how to clear drains and culverts and why this is important!

Wednesday 6th June: Fencing workday in partnership with North Wales Wildlife Trust.  Learn how fencing can benefit wildlife!

Thursday 7th June: Snowdon litter pick –  An ever popular event in partnership with Snowdonia National Park Authority.  Learn how and why we collect and survey litter!

Friday 8th June: Rhododendron clearance in partnership with Snowdonia National Park Authority.  Learn why Rhododendron is such a problem in Snowdonia and what is being done to combat it!

Each day you will also be shown how to safety check tools before and after use and how to maintain them to keep them in top condition.

Free transport will be available every day from Bangor and Caernarfon.

Go on, give it a go and do your bit for Snowdonia!
