Volunteer: Conifer Clearance

Volunteer: Conifer Clearance

10:00 – 15:00, Coed Cwrt, Trawsfynydd

Come and help protect a designated nature reserve by clearing conifers.

We will be clearing conifers using loppers and bow saws from a ‘buffer zone’ between an NRW conifer plantation and a designated reserve.

Removing conifers from this site is important because it prevents conifers from spreading into the reserve and outcompeting the genetically important assemblage of heathland species.

The site is a beautifully remote heathland at the base of the Rhinogydd mountain range, making it a really nice site to work on.
