Tree Planting, Nant Gwynant
Grab a spade and make a positive lasting impression on the landscape for many years to come!
Nant Gwynant is an area of Snowdonia that has been badly affected by the invasion of an alien invader, Rhododendron ponticum. This plant has negative consequences for wildlife suffocating native woodland and greatly reducing biodiversity.
After many years of hard work from various groups and organisations (including our own volunteers) this area is now on a path to recovery. With the Rhododendron having been treated and cleared it is now time to restore the native woodland through a project to plant native trees which should see the area flourish with wildlife once more.
