Tree Maintenance, Betws y Coed
Join us on the banks of the River Conwy as we join the National Trust for a day of land management!
Over the past few years the Trust along with the assistance of Snowdonia Society volunteers have been planting a variety of native trees throughout the Ysbyty Ifan Estate.
Despite their best efforts some of these trees are now under threat from highly competitive and invasive plants. Among the culprits is Rhododendron Ponticum a non native plant from the Himalayas. Without intervention these young trees will be outcompeted for resources and left to die. With your help we can see these natives trees thrive and grow tall dramatically changing the landscape for the better for many years to come.
