*POSTPONED* Plant Monitoring Scheme

Plant Monitoring Scheme
Booking essential

In 2019 the Society registered with the National Plant Monitoring Scheme and secured a 1km square in the beautiful Gwynant Valley. The purpose of this scheme is to monitor changes in our landscape over time by looking at the vegetation found there.

Come and help us monitor our square and learn how this scheme helps track changes in the flora of the United Kingdom. Our habitats include broadleaved woodland, heathland, bog and wet heath as well as grasslandwhich means there will be plenty of variety.

If our national flora is as important to you as it is to us then this is the perfect chance to get involved. An ID guide will be available to help identify the necessary species, but feel free to bring your own if you would like to make notes.

You don’t need to be a botanist to take part in this day (although if you are you are welcome to attend) as this day is suitable for all levels.

We hope you understand that due to the outbreak of (Covid-19) coronavirus, it may be necessary to cancel or change arrangements at relatively short notice in some circumstances. Our staff will strive to inform everyone who has booked to attend an event, but please do check the status of the event in advance by phone or email.
