Footpath Maintenance

Footpath Maintenance, Snowdon

Booking essential; places limited

Following our footpath maintenance on Snowdon’s PyG on the 23rd Sept., this day is another opportunity to maintain Snowdon’s footpaths, ensuring rain water is diverted away from the paths to minimise erosion. The path and site of work will depend upon work done so far on previous days.

The drains, culverts and ditches on Snowdon’s paths regularly fill with small stones and gravel when heavy rain swells the streams – unavoidable on a steep mountain. Join us for some fun manual labour with stunning views from the highest mountain in Wales and England. If you love mountain hiking and use these footpaths yourself, then this is the volunteer day for you.

We have clear protocols and risk assessments for coronavirus to allow us to carry out practical outdoor work as safely as possible, if you would like more information on these please get in touch. To ensure social distancing is possible at all times, the number of volunteers for each workday is strictly limited. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
