Fencing

Morfa Bychan is a coastal nature reserve near Porthmadog, owned by North Wales Wildlife Trust. Various different habitats range from sand dunes by the beach right up to the beginnings of woodland as you head inland, therefore it is home to a variety of species. Due to coastal developments, there are not many complete sand dunes such as this in the country, so it is particularly special.

Some areas of the reserve are grazed in order to keep the open areas free of scrub, to maintain the variety of habitats. With grazing animals comes fences and with fences comes fence maintenance!

Come and help the Wildlife Trust to repair the fence where it needs it. This might involve knocking new posts in or using your hammer skills to secure netting to the fence. This is an opportunity to learn new skills in a wonderful environment.
