Dry stone walling at Pensychnant Nature Reserve *fully booked*

Dry stone walling

Pensychnant Conservation Centre, Conwy. Mon 12/2 and Tues 13/2, 10:00 – 16:00

Join us to learn the traditional skill of dry-stone walling over this hands-on two day event. Dry stone walls are an integral part of our environmental history, offering a haven to wildlife and lichen as well as animals sheltering from the weather. Julian Thompson from Pensychnant Conservation Centre will be guiding us as we dismantle a portion of stone wall, then lay fresh foundations, and finally build the wall up to its full height using traditional dry stone walling techniques.

This will be a hands-on event and we will get stuck in to moving and laying stones from large to small.

Activity level – strenuous.

Free – £10 deposit to be refunded following attendance of both days.
