Caru Eryri: Cairn removal

The National Park Rangers need your help to remove non-essential cairns that are being built all over the park.

The “Leave no trace” ethic, is more than simply not littering. It means that the landscape should be left the same way you found it. The visual impact of human disturbance along with increasing footpath erosion is why we are keen to dismantle these cairns.

Join us on the Rhyd-ddu footpath as we remove all but the navigationally important cairns!

Please book using our volunteer software My Impact. The first time you use our system, My Impact, you will create an account. Once registered and approved by an administrator, you will be able to book yourself on volunteer days, without having to wait for a response from an administrator. We hope that this will make the booking system easier for you as volunteers.
