Sarah Medcalf

Acting Director for the Snowdonia Society, Sarah lives in Ceunant and is an active member of Porthmadog Rowing Club and a keen mountaineer. Sarah is working hard to add Welsh to the list of languages she speaks fluently (after English, German and French). Sarah is passionate about wildlife and conservation and also loves to discover new places, watch sunsets and bake cakes.

Frances Smith

Frances is the Office Administrator, managing the Society's membership and helping with other office tasks. A fluent Welsh speaker she has lived on the doorstep of Snowdonia for more than 20 years. In her free time she enjoys walking and cycling, wildlife gardening and slow food, and music and dancing.

Bea Kelsall

Bea is the Conservation Snowdonia Project Manager. She organises practical action workdays, and leads teams of volunteers on our various projects. Bea is currently heading up the Snowdonia Society's 'Rags2Riches' initiative, encouraging alternative solutions to plastic bag use and a reduction in textile rubbish. Bea is employed with financial support from CCW and the SNPA.

In her spare time Bea is currently renovating her cottage, learning welsh, and juggling a number of other projects.

Jenny Whitmore

Jenny is the Conservation Snowdonia Project Officerand co-ordinates the Snowdonia Society's conservation volunteers. She supports Bea in the practical delivery of conservation workdays and ensures the continuing growth of our volunteer database.

Jenny’s undergraduate and post-graduate studies at Bangor University focused on marine zoology and environmental protection. In her spare time Jenny enjoys yoga, climbing and walking.

Mike Klymko

Mike is the Conservation Snowdonia Project Officer during Jenny Whitmore's maternity leave.

Mike has a background which includes developing an advocacy project, and work as a garden scheme coordinator for a Healthy Living Centre.  He studied Conservation and Forest Ecosystems at Bangor University, and is currently studying Biological Recording on a part time course at Birmingham University.  In his spare time Mike enjoys sea canoeing, yoga and Welsh lessons.
