Season’s greetings and thanks for caring about Snowdonia

Season’s greetings on the eve of a special year for the Snowdonia Society.

2016 has been an interesting year for the Snowdonia Society and as it draws to a close we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our friends and supporters.

We especially want to thank every single person – and there are hundreds of you – who has actively supported our campaign to save Snowdonia’s rivers and the river Conwy in particular.  Unprecedented levels of public engagement have raised this issue up into the light.  If it weren’t for you, the bulldozers would already be on site and carving up one of Snowdonia’s iconic places.

Looking ahead exciting plans are afoot for special activities to mark the Society’s 50th anniversary – so do look out for more details in January.

Mary-Kate, Tamsin and Owain also want to say, “Merry Christmas Everyone! Our volunteers have worked over 3,000 hours in 2016 – a fantastic achievement! Thank you all very much for your hard work and support over the year!”

We look forward to seeing you in 2017!
