Meetings and Public Lectures

The Society organises a regular programme of meetings and lectures, many delivered by national figures.

See our Walks page for a full up-to-date list of meetings and events.

One of the highlights of the Society’s 40th Anniversary celebrations was a public lecture by Cameron McNeish (right), the well-known presenter of the television series Wilderness Walks and editor of The Great Outdoors magazine. This was an excellent presentation, with Cameron arguing passionately for the protection of Britain’s wild land, illustrated with superb images and evocative music.

All lectures are open to all but Society members receive discounted (or free) admission. Why not join the Society or email us to sign up to our e-newsletter and we will keep you posted?
