Walks

The Society runs a regular programme of walks which operate all through the year. A lot of thought goes into the design of the programme, with walks to suit all interests and ability ranges.

Farm walks are always popular. We have recently organised a walking tour around a local hill farm. The walk was led by the husband and wife team who run the business, and Society members learned more about the challenges and joys of operating a farm in the heart of Snowdonia.

At the other end of the spectrum, we run year-round visits to the highest mountains in Snowdonia. If you relish the thought of a Boxing Day walk to the summit of Snowdon, or want to see the June dawn on the Carneddau then come and experience it with like-minded people by joining the Society.

Fancy a Christmas walk on Cadair Idris? Or how about a family walk around Beddgelert? Or a full on Welsh winter experience in February? Our programme for Winter 09/10 is here. Better still, join us and we will keep you posted.

Regular hill and mountain walking is a great way of maintining good health and well being. We wish to thank the Sports Council for Wales for a sportsmatch grant which contributres towards our costs of running the programme.
