Bob’s 15 peaks litter-picking challenge

Please sponsor him!

To help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Snowdonia Society, one of our fantastic volunteers, Bob Smith, will undertake a sponsored litter pick of the 15 summits of Snowdonia over 3,000 feet.

Sponsor him now on his Local Giving page and your donation will be matched by Local Giving*!

This challenge builds on our actions on litter in the mountains, so this is a great way to support the Snowdonia Society’s work. Thank you Bob!

2 days, 15 peaks, 30 miles… How much litter?

Bob explains, “The challenge will start on 7 June with a Society litter pick on Snowdon. I will then continue to collect litter from the summits of Crib Y Ddysgl and Crib Goch, then head to Nant Peris to complete Elidir Fawr and y Garn before heading down to Ogwen to complete Day 1.

“Day 2 will start in Ogwen and then head to Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach, Tryfan,
Pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafyydd, Carnedd Llewelyn, Yr Elen, Foel Grach, Garnedd Gwenllian and Foel Fras. Finally heading down to Abergwyngregyn to complete the marathon litter pick. The walk is approximately 30 miles with about 13,632 feet of ascent.”

The question is, how much litter will there be?
